The University of Waikato is a university whose main campus is located near the awe-inspiring Waikato river main in Hamilton, New Zealand’s fourth largest city in the Waikato region. They also have a campus in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty region. The main Hamilton campus is spread over 64 hectares of landscaped gardens and lakes where students can enjoy stress-relieving recreational activities or a scenic place to study or do assignments Today Waikato University is home to more than 12,000 students and has continued to be a breeding ground for independent thought and progressive learning. In 1989 (with a little help from NASA) The University of Waikato connected New Zealand to the Internet before going on to become the first University in New Zealand to have cyber-graduates, completing their teaching degrees online. Waikato Management School achieved Triple Crown status in 2006 by gaining accreditation from the three leading international business school accreditation bodies, AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA This is an accreditation that only 1% of the world’s business schools worldwide have achieved. The school’s public relations undergraduate program also gained accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America in 2009, and is currently one of only five institutions outside of the United States to have won CEPR certification.
